To inform you, it means Algol-60 or, more often, one of multiple vendor-specific descendants of Algol-60, including Burroughs ALGOL often mentioned here by Scott Lurndal. It does not mean Algol-68 which is very different language. In Algol-60 functions (they call them typed procedure) do not return the value of their last statement. They returns the value that was last assigned to the special variable that has the same name as procedure itself.
