LAT certainly existed. Another sub-mode of OPR at least in TOPS-20. But
there might be issues with Tops-10. I don't know enough about that.

Yeah. Nodes are not in any permanent database. You need to define them
each time Tops-10 boots. A command file is the usual way of doing it.

Yeah, SOS is not fun. AMIS is another Emacs clone, and a pretty decent
one at that.
