Sure, there were tribes in ancient times, of course.

But how would you define a tribe in modern terms?

There were 'tribe revivals' in the 20th century.

E.g. there have been 'Hippies', 'Mods' or 'Punks'.

But those times are gone now and we have all sorts of influences all 
over the place.

Sure, some have long hair or a scooter like from 'Quadrophenia'.

But that is just something fashionbable and does not define tribes.

Some sort of tribalism is still existing in 'Hooliganism' or in criminal 
gangs.

But more or less these are very few examples of relatively small groups.
