That's not just women -- or men -- or "romantic interactions".

IME, most people get angry when they realize they've been sold a bill of
goods; when the relationship they are in (even a friendship, business
relationship, etc.) is not what it was originally portrayed to be.

It goes to the notion of "honesty"; if I can't trust you to honestly
represent yourself, then how can I believe anything you say/promise?

Of course, you need to be confident in who you are and not rely on
the approval/endorsement of others for that.

Eventually, The Truth (who you are, what you are, your prejudices,
beliefs, hangups, etc.) comes out.  Pity the relationships that are
put at jeopardy in the process!  And, the investments you've lost...

[If you need to take lessons to know NOT to wear draw-string pants,
what's going to happen when you eventually *do* wear them?!]
