Was Methan und Meere betrifft - es scheint gelegentlich durch Methan 
hervorgerufene Unterwasser-Hangrutsche zu geben, die auf einen Schlag 
große Mengen Methan frei setzen. Dazu gibt es auch die Vermutung, dass 
solche Geschehnisse mit dem Verschwinden ganzer Schiffe zu tun haben 
könnten. Schaum ist halt nicht so tragfähig wie Wasser.

Was den Abbau von Methaneis betrifft - meines Wissens arbeiten daran nur 
die Japaner.

Die umweltschützende Gemeinde sieht halt "altes Methan". Also ist es 
böse und damit zu unterbinden, weil fossiler Natur. Jetzt, da sich die 
Politik endlich zum Erdgasverbot durch gerungen hat, noch auf fossiles 
Methan aus Permafrost und Methaneis zu setzen, muss verboten werden. 
Wenn der Schuss mal nicht nach hinten los geht... Aber wir sitzen halt 
alle im gleichen Boot namens Erde.
