Im Vergleich zur Abnutzung der Platteninnereien und der Geschwindigkeit, mit der
die Platte volläuft, quasi unendlich langsam. Das mit dem "Wasserstoff schafft
sich durch die kleinsten Ritzen, keine Chance, grünen Wasserstoff irgendwo zu
speichern und schon gar nicht in Kavernenspeichern" habe ich auch lange
geglaubt. Ist Geschichte.

"Bisher" ist immerhin so lange, daß Backblaze Statistiken dazu auffahren kann.
Die Teile sind offenbar genauso robust, wie ihre luftgefüllten Gegenstücke. Und
jetzt mal unter uns: Ab einer gewissen Speicherkapazität führt an dem Zeugs doch
kein Weg vorbei. Und das ist genau der Grund, warum man Dreheisen überhaupt noch
kauft. In den Desktop-PC kommen - außer bei Herrn Schellong - doch nahezu
ausschließlich SSDs rein. Die gibts bis 2TB quasi nachgeschmissen.

Da gibts SMART-Register für. Bislang ist da noch nichts gestorben, wie die
Fliegen. Die Probleme entstehen eher bei "refurbished" HDDs, wie wir in diesem
Thread ja schon diskutiert haben.
