Das Problem mit Wasserstoff in Tanks ist nicht, dass er durch Ritzen
kriecht, sondern in Metalle eindringt und dessen Eigenschaften
verändert. Pons und Fleischmann haben unwissentlich die wichtigsten
Forschungen zu diesem Thema angestoßen und wesentlich zum Verständnis
der Wasserstoffversprödung beigetragen.

Und bei Kavernen sind es nicht nur Metalle die Hydride bilden können,
so dass selbst bei Reversibilität die Entnahme extrem
verlangsamt wird, weswegen die Wasserstoff-Lagerung in Gesteinen nur
wenig Popularität aufbauen konnte.
