Phew! That's good but it doesn't mean other components aren't still there. Safari extensions was just one potential place to look. Again, I haven't bothered to research where these adware packages install themselves in macOS, or how to completely remove them. Are you talking about Disk Utility's "Verify Disk" function in OS X, which is akin to "Disk First Aid" in very old (classic, OS 9 etc) versions of Mac OS? If so, the function scans the disk for errors in the volume file structure to find and fix disk corruption.None of that has anything to do with malware or adware. It knows and cares nothing about the contents of the files - only the structure of the file system. > What is your view of EtreCheck? http://etrecheck.com/#about It's a good diagnostic tool you can use to learn lots of things about a system you can use to learn lots of things about a system. It can help you figure out where adware/malware is installed; but it doesn't actually remove it for you. > I can post a scan result if you wish. Please advise.
