Stop the insanity! You already know the drive is failing. The longer you
wait to replace that drive, and the more you use it in the meantime, the
greater risk the you will lose access to the data on it. Replace the drive
with a new one, connect the old drive to the computer, install a fresh OS
on the new drive, and migrate the user data over from the old drive when
prompted ASAP!

The SMART report already told you the drive is failing. The longer you use
it the more chances of complete failure! You should replace it and migrate
the user data from it ASAP.
