I used to use iStat and liked it... but never paid the upgrade fee. I might
at some point. Still have the Widget in my Dashboard, but given how it was
turned off by default in El Capitan I suspect that will not be available
soon.

If nothing else I like the temperature readings from it. Helped me save a
Mac when a fan went bad.

Ditto here. It is off by default. I like the bigger space it provides than
the newer Notifications area, but I think we have to accept it is not likely
to be around for long.

I think that is pretty clear... it is gonna be gone soon.
