xp is long dead, but nevertheless, the main problem with linux is the
sheer lack of quality apps and support for third party hardware.

if you're after complexity, then linux is the ticket.

if you want to actually get stuff done without hassle, then it's about
the worst possible choice.

chromeos is almost entirely cloud.
