It is in no meaningful way Linux. There's a kernel down there, somwhere.
But it's not Linux.

Nope. Linux desktop is a *terrible* choice for anyone who is not a
supernerd or has a supernerd at ready access.

That's a stupid recommendation. For the vast majority of people, cloud
based everything is a far superior choice.
