Yes, that's why.  Everything is tuned for 64k machines, and doesn't take 
advantage of any other memory map.  Further, the older IP stack is 
fairly large in and of itself; re-engineered to use the on-board IP 
stack on the Uthernet II instead will relieve that quite a bit.
