Or was it printed via PrintPDF, in which case there are similar > questions along with the printing system (although I can't think of any > obvious ways to get the printing system to strip text out of a document). AFAICT it's a bug in Acorn's PostScript 2 driver - I've frequently had this problem where the printing system deletes all of the text in a document but leaves the paths intact. It happens whether converting to PDF with PrintPDF or actually printing documents, and the originating application is irrelevant (I've witnessed it in EasiWriter, Draw, OpenVector and PDF). Unfortunately it's intermittent, and although there's no cure (apart from converting all the text to paths if possible) once the PostScript driver's taken a dislike to a given document, the most reliable workaround I have thus found is to print exactly the same document on a different computer. Sadly both computers have been known to exhibit the bug, but at least I get two bites of the cherry. I'd love it if somebody could track it down! Something must be going very wrong deep inside the code to produce symptoms like these. -- __<^>__ / _ _ \ You always find something in the last place you look.
