This seems on odd way of going about getting a PDF from Easiwriter'

Why not use the Middle mouse button -> Save -> PDF -> and drag to
destination route?  Seems much simpler to me

Incidentally, I've tried your example, text and simple draw file on
Easiwriter page, then clicking on print.  Works fine here with my PS2
printer set to save to file.  Produces a PS file which is read fine in
RiScript.

Can't see why it shouldn't work for you.  I'll have a go with GhostScript
and PrintPdf later for fun.
