It does work with PPTP. I've used that as well, and also with another 
provider called, ProXPN. It's a lower grade encryption and I'm not too 
fond of it myself. I like OpenVPN. If you are using Ubuntu, Mint, 
Slackware or Fedora it is a very simple setup. All through the GUI and 
seriously easy as pie.

I've not tried it with the Cisco setup myself.

I've no idea who that is. It's not as easy as it is with Windows or the 
Mac. I have used WiTopia on the Mac. The install app gives you all the 
exit points to choose from. On the Linux client, I have to create the 
ones I want to use one by one. So I tend to ceate about 5 or 6 exit 
points around the world. 

Now using those is just a click away. You can enter into and exit out of 
the VPN end point very easily and through the Network Manager GUI.
