There was no such machine as "the PARC". Xerox had at least 2 GUI based
systems running when Jobs toured PARC (it doesn't need "the") - the Smalltalk
system and the predecessor of the "Star", which was probably the first
machine that ran what was recognisably a modern GUI. Lots of reading here;

NextStep was very much *not* the first GUI.
