You forgot one very important thing, which is very typical for this: Run the program! The proof of the pudding is its eating! A lot of programmers in the Haskell/VHDL/Ada realm are doing this sort of programming. They start with a plan, start writing it down, document it and then review it. Running it? Isn't on the plan. The expolative nature of coding in Forth is about getting code that runs. If it runs, you can document it or review it, but code that hasn't been proven by running it is not worth looking at.
