I thought the BB was $90 vs. $35 for the rPi.  I see below the Black is 
shipping now, so yeah, $45 is not much different from the pi.

You see embedded as a headache, I see it as simple.  I don't know Linux 
and see products like the pi and BB as needlessly complex.  The other 
issue is the power consumption.  Just like my cell phone runs for a week 
on a charge and my friend's iPhone has trouble getting through the day, 
a BB or pi will take a lot more power than even an ARM CM3.  If I need 
the power of a GHz processor, then by all means I would use a pi or BB.

Oh yeah, is the BB still only supported through that Google Group?  When 
GG "upgraded" their UI I gave up on it.  I would hate to have to go 
there for support.  I remember the group maintainer grousing about how 
Google switched that group to the new interface with no path back to the 
old UI even though they hadn't done that with all the other groups. 
What the heck is with Google sometimes anyway?
