I had promised myself not to participate in this cesspool of a thread
any more, but as we can see, a DD who has repeatedly misgendered and
deadnamed a non-binary person in the past (on purpose or by mistake he
has still not stated) insists on provoking me, coincidentally on a
thread started by somebody else who takes pride on misgendering people.

As I said today elsewhere, allyship, diversity, and inclusion are empty
concepts when the bystanders -the people whose skin is not in the game,
whose humanity is not being discussed- remain silent, or are more
worried about tone. Do people actually care about making Debian a
welcoming place for minorities? Then speak up, take risks, or stop
pretending you care. And I don't mean sending requests to listmaster, I
mean putting your body and privilege in the front line.

I am sure that the listmasters and the community team[1] are already
looking into this and will probably do something behind the scenes, but
to anybody watching from home, this looks pretty bad for Debian.

It looks like that transphobia is countered with slaps in the wrist, not
the universal rejection abhorrent views deserve. A single transphobe
makes a community a dangerous place for trans people. Trans people are
disproportionally affected by hate crimes: we are attacked, abused, and
killed every day. We can't take risks: this is not a stupid debate about
English Grammar[2] FFS, we are talking about peoples' lives and health!

There is only so much screaming into the void I can do before I say what
I *really* think about these people. I would rather not force people I
respect to ban and/or expel me from Debian but I will not tolerate this
cow manure to stay unchallenged.

*This* is a hill I will die on.

Tina.

[1]: Before anybody says something stupid, I have resigned from the CT,
and decided to reduce my involvement in Debian as a direct consequence
of this thread. Yes, the transphobes have already advanced a few
positions, and it is not my fault.

[2]: I am sorry to take aim at some other people I also have in high
regard and to grammar studies (which I actually find fascinating), but
turning this thread into a gentle discussion of grammar feels pretty
insulting, and like the pinnacle of privilege.
