Mir schon: Es gibt so etwas wie eine Sprachökonomie die dazu führt, daß 
als sperrig oder umständlich empfundene Begriffe abgekürzt, komprimiert 
oder gar durch neue Begriffe ersetzt werden.

Das ist nicht Schlimmes sondern in einer lebendigen Sprache ein völlig 
normaler Vorgang. Manche dieser Neuschöpfungen mögen zwar als nicht 
besonders elegant empfunden werden aber das ist egal. Zuerst zählt immer 
noch die Verständlichkeit.
