The report says > essentially: you ignore climate change, you better be prepared > for heavy financial loses. well, climate change is very very slow, totally ignorable over the lifetime of most all companies. alarmists like to speed up the scale of change by a factor of 1000 or more take sea rise, it occurs slowly, so there is lots of time for the infrastructure to move or improve. take New york city, if the sea rises 20 foot, gotta do something, but it may take 200 or more years for that to happen, and the Gov will do it, by zoning, and those too close to the water will have very high cost insurance. I think it will just be a natural process, as most commertial buildings only last 30-50 years anyway. and actuaries can adjust the intensity and frequency of storms, if it happens that way, which will make insurance rates rise. like houston galveston area, and its storms, and flordia, teh zoning changes and insurance guides rebuilding away from the water, but one cannot say climate change did it, as climate change is only 0.1 C per decades, >> >> Love to see Lloyds put out a study on climate change, its effects would >> be down in the noise. > > It would be interesting. > >> >> Bitcoin has a far worse impact, due to energy usage alone. cost is about >> $1,200 in electricity per bitcoin (depends on cost of electricity) > > bitcoin is down but apparently it is still worth the cost > to mine it for some folks. > > Ed >
