Do you want them NOT to be reimbursed for generating those PROFITS?

Of course! One of the appeals of the ACA (to insurers) was that it expanded
the number of folks buying into the market. And, encouraged consumption
of certain PREVENTATIVE services/procedures. So, while it also capped
the profitability of the insurers, it ensured them a bigger pie from which
to take their "cut".

The administrative overhead, profit margin, etc. issues are red herrings.
Omit *all* of it and health care costs will still continue to climb at
a rate far exceeding inflation.
Folks aren't EAGER to consume healthcare. E.g., I assume you AREN'T
sitting in your doctor's office RIGHT NOW soaking up all that "free"
health care? Esp if you *paid* for it by way of taxes!!! Like Kramer
