  Misschien begrijp ik niet goed wat je doet, maar het lijkt me nogal
omslachtig.

  Je kan de APK van WhatsApp op een tablet installeren (kan niet vanuit
de Play Store, want dan weigert de Play Store hem te installeren
'omdat' het een tablet betreft).

  Daarna kan je op de tablet het gewenste telefoonnummer opgeven.
WhatsApp stuurt dan een verificatie-SMS naar dat *nummer* - dat dus van
een SIM in een *willekeurige* telefoon kan zijn, zelf in een
'dumb'-phone - en dan voer je het codenummer dat in de SMS staat in in
WhatsApp op je tablet. Dus er is geen (Titanium) backup en restore
nodig.

  Het werkt zelfs met een niet-mobiel/niet-06 nummer. WhatsApp belt dan
naar de gewone telefoon en geeft de code d.m.v. spraak.
