  Als je bedoelt of het werkelijke ontvangen en verzenden *alleen* op de
smartphone gebeurt ern *niet* op de PC en de PC dus alleen een 'domme
terminal' is die aan je smart-phone hangt, dan is het antwoord: Ja dat
weet ik zeker.

  Het is wel grappig dat deze oude post van mij juist nu weer herleeft,
want nog geen 10 minuten geleden, werd dit in de praktijk aangetoond:

  Wij waren een weekje op vakantie en terug zijnde zei mijn vrouw dat er
WhatsApp berichten moesten zijn want daar praten een paar van haar
kontakten over in email, maar ze zag niets in WhatsApp op de PC. Dat was
begrijpelijk, want de 'smartphone' [1] lag ergens in een kast en stond
uit! :-) Na het aanzetten van de 'smartphone' kwamen de WhatsApp
berichten keurig binnen. QED! :-)

[1] Het is geen smartphone, maar een (Android) tablet.

P.S. Na mijn (negative) WhatsApp op PC experimenten van (meer dan) een
jaar geleden, heb ik ondekt dat er behalve WhatsApp Web, nu ook een
native Windows *programma* is voor op de PC, 'WhatsApp for Windows PC'
Dat gebruikt mijn vrouw nu. Erg basic, maar voor ons beter dan WhatsApp
Web.
