  Ik zei "native Windows" en bedoel daar mee dat het op het
destbetreffende OS draait, i.p.v. in een browser.

  I.e. WhatsApp web is theoretisch [1] platform/OS/browser/<whatever>
onafhankelijk, terwijl de native Windows versie alleen onder Windows
draait (en de native 'Mac' versie alleen onder OS X).

  BTW, ik zou het niet "met ingebouwde webbrowser" noemen, maar "met
ingebouwde renderer", tenzij die component ook werkelijk *alle*
mogelijke HTML code verwerkt, wat ik ernstig betwijfel. Ik neem aan dat
een gedeelte van het moeilijke werk ter afhandeling doorgegeven wordt
aan de echte (engine van de) webbrowser.

[1] Let op: "theoretisch", want er zijn vast beperkingen in wat wel en
niet werkt.
