This is where you are making your mistake. Time has nothing to do with this at all. Objects DEFINE lengths. The length of an objects can only be specified in comparison with that of another. All lengths are comparative and are specified in relation to a predefined and accepted standard. Length is not dependent on movement in any way because all abjects retain the same intrinsic properties in all inertial states. Object can define lengths for the simple reason that they ARE objects as distinct from 'nothing'. ...and they are as far as we know, STABLE objects.....so we used a metal rod as a length standard because we knew it didn't change much if at all.
