I could have taken a short drive to an AT&T company store and got a new 
SIM but as long as the adapter worked, which it did, it saved me the trip.

They sell tons of phones in foreign markets, mostly cheap low-end 
phones.  The Pure phones are the only upper-tier phones they make.  I'm 
impressed with the Pure XL, especially considering the cost.
