An employer of mine installed small wall boxes, that had a SIM inside
and would connect via GSM, while providing an plain RJ11 to connect a
standard phone to it. An ISP sold them. Often the idea would be, for
business, to make calls to landlines using a landline, and calls to
mobiles using the GSM terminal, because of the pricing made cheaper
calling mobiles from mobiles.
