And testing the dozen nodes of the menu-sub-tree, and scrolling the adjustments, from 100% to 50% didn't solve the problem. Perhaps relevant: while it was OK, switching workspaces between those mainly-black & mainly-white, showed 2 secs of <changing brightness>. Now in the BAD-state it doesn't do that. ==TIA.
