I used (and recommend)

   -std=c11 -pedantic -Wall -Wextra -Wno-parentheses -Wno-unused -Werror

which should take out a lot of the clutter.

Yes, the (void*) casts in these cases are kind of a pain.
I live with them because I find the other printf() format
warnings so useful.

There is a standard way of handling this problem, using the
header <inttypes.h>, but that may not be supported on some
of the systems you use.  I will post a separate message
about how this can be addressed.

This looks like a bug in whatever is producing the warning
message.  There is nothing wrong with %lld as a format
specifier, and the system knows about 'long long'.  Which
compiler produces these messages?

I didn't see any problems like this in the source I looked
at.  Could that have come up since the earlier version?

This problem is important, because it's incompatible with
standard C.  You should be able to use the same fix that I
did, and the changes are fairly small and pretty localized.
I will post a separate message about that.

I routinely suppress _some_ warnings, but basically always use
the -pedantic option, and usually enable other warnings.  IME
enabling a small set of warnings almost always, and treating them
as errors with -Werror, has a fairly small cost and a fairly high
yield, in the sense that almost all the detected cases represent
bugs of one kind or another (unlike for example used variables,
which as often as not are irrelevant).  At the very least use
the -pedantic option, which should make targeting multiple
environments easier by eliminating non-standard extensions.
