**Well, it's not propaganda. It's actually around 40,000,000,000 Tonnes 
PA. It's excess, because natural processes do not absorb that extra CO2.

**Very, VERY simply, my yappy friend. We calculate how much CO2 is 
released via natural processes (approximately 440GT/yr) and then 
calculated how much CO2 is absorbed by natural processes (approximately 
450GT/yr).

Then we have the following calculation:

440^9 + 40^9 - 450^9 = 30^9 Tonnes/yr.

Therefore, we have a surplus of approximately 30,000,000,000 Tonnes of 
CO2 per year entering the atmosphere.

**Stupid question. It is now absolutely undeniable that CO2 is causing 
this planet to warm. Therefore, the excess CO2 is undesirable. The ONLY 
question that is uncertain (though it is barely that, since confidence 
level runs at around 95%) is: Will temperatures rise uncontrollably, if 
nothing is done to stop CO2 emissions?

There is some debate over this question. And it is the ONLY question 
under any kind of debate among climatologists. Even the denier's poster 
boy, Lindzen, agrees that CO2 has warmed this planet.
