Ah.

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geany>

Geany (IPA:ʒeːniː[citation needed]) is a lightweight GUI text editor[3]
using Scintilla and GTK+, including basic IDE features. It is designed
to have short load times, with limited dependency on separate packages
or external libraries on Linux. It has been ported to a wide range of
operating systems, such as BSD, Linux, macOS,[4] Solaris and Windows.
The Windows port lacks an embedded terminal window; also missing from
the Windows version are the external development tools present under
Unix, unless installed separately by the user.[5] Among the supported
programming languages and markup languages are C, C++, C#, Java,
JavaScript, PHP, HTML, LaTeX, CSS, Python, Perl, Ruby, Pascal, Haskell,
Erlang, Vala and many others.[6]

In contrast to traditional Unix-based editors like Emacs or Vim, Geany
more closely resembles programming editors common on Microsoft Windows
such as Notepad++, which also uses Scintilla.[7]

Features

    Auto-completion
    Multiple document support
    Simple project management
    Syntax highlighting
    Code folding (partially)
    Symbol lists
    Code navigation
    Embedded terminal emulator[9]
Build system to compile and execute code using external tools
    Extensible via plugins
Column / block / vertical select (via SHIFT + CTRL + arrow keys)
User configurable keyboard action to editor function mapping[10]

The last line there had me searching, hopping that it could emulate the
keyboard of other editors, but I did not find such a feature.

It seems to support columns.

Then you could check "Kate" too.

Features (<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_(text_editor)>)

Kate is a programmer's text editor that features syntax highlighting for
over 200 file formats with code folding rules.[9] The syntax
highlighting is extensible via XML files.[10] It supports UTF-8, UTF-16,
ISO-8859-1 and ASCII encoding schemes and can detect a file's character
encoding automatically.

Kate can be used as a modal text editor through its vi input mode[11]
which emulates a Unix text editor with the same name.

Kate features multiple document interface, window splitting, project
editing[12][further explanation needed] and sessions to facilitate
editing multiple documents. Using sessions, one can customize Kate for
different projects by saving the list of open files, the list of enabled
plug-ins and the window configuration.[13]

For searching and replacing text, Kate features incremental search,
multi-line search and replace and regular expression support. It can
perform search and replace on multiple files.

KDE integration

Being a KDE application, Kate transparently opens and saves files over
all protocols supported by KIO libraries. This includes HTTP, FTP, SSH,
SMB and WebDAV, among others.

Kate is built using the KParts framework; it is a graphical shell around
the editor component, referred to as katepart.[14] This KParts component
is embedded by other KDE programs as well. Kate uses Konsole to get an
embedded terminal.

You can look here for other editors:

CoolEdit is not listed. though.
