No, they do not. It is frustrating.

Rick contacted me outside of comp.lang.c and spoke of it. I came here and
responded to one of his posts to give him info he said he did not have (my
email). 

There is really nothing else to it.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They cannot
use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow
superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.
