Come again? Do you mean a colorForth that targets GNU Lightning or
PAF, or vice versa?
Either way does not make much sense to me:
1) Machine Forth/ColorForth for the Pentium works nicely by expanding
the relatively low number of primitives directly into machine code.
Retargeting the architecture-specific part of that really should be
little work (less work for the architectures supported by GNU
Lightning than interfacing with GNU Lightning; and PAF is just a
concept yet). The main problem with colorForth is that it runs
directly on bare hardware, so it runs on only a few machines, or you
have to put virtualized hardware between colorForth and the real
machine.
2) The idea of PAF and GNU Lightning is to map to instructions on
register machines. Going through a stack-based VM that then expands
many VM instructions to several machine instructions is
counterproductive.
