Actually, it's quite acceptable, especially on location. When Peter
Jackson was making the Lord of the Rings he used iPods (HD version) to
transport digital footage from New Zealand to the U.K., where
post-production took place. That's a long flight, and time is valuable
when making motion pictures. During the long flights they would perform
preliminary editing on PowerBooks running FCP. Sources: Peter Jackson
and "The Hollywood Reporter."
