This thread seems to have run its course. The basic thermodynamics
of water in its various phases is well-understood, and no substantive
arguments to the contrary have emerged. After discussion between the
moderators, we have therefore unanamously agreed to close this thread.

ciao,

They just don't want your cluttering up their newsgroup with nonsense.
There are plenty of other places to spout, if you feel the need.

Sylvia.

It is because I am a "denier" of global warming.

I don't see how you can know that. There are many plausible reasons for
their having silenced you.

Certainly if someone had a theory of water vapor that proposed
nanoparticles of water that normal theory argues should vaporize
because of surface tension or that predicted the pressure
of steam was 1/20th of what had been understood for 200y
and then *also* was a known rabid multi-nym denier of the existence
of GHG and suchlike, it might tend to make me think twice about even passing
something on for review even if it didn't seem to be word salad
or had a Baez index of 10,000.

We are living in times when pathological science has become normal as long as it appeals to the lowest common denominator of the internet science consumer. And they is as dumb as dumb can get.

People aren't silenced for saying stupid things. They aren't silenced
for saying things that are wrong or lies. This much is obvious. They are
silenced for saying things that go directly against the basic dogma of
modern science. Warming denying is clearly one of those. Of course
discussing any "forbidden topic" is equally effective. I got banned for
life as a "crank" for just MENTIONING the theory of uniformity and
nobody even accepts it anymore!

In a moderated group, people can just get tired of the noise.
