If the Mars has about 95 % CO2 in the atmosphere, we had to find out, 
where the CO2 came from.

Since the Martians have most likely not burned dead dinosaurs, to drive 
cars or head their mansions, we need to find out, from were the 
carbondioxid came.


I don't think, that even such a global climate protector like Al Gore 
would have prevented the Mars atmosphere to fill entirely with CO2 
(since he would have needed something else to breath).

The lack of O2 also questions the source of CO2 from burning, since 
oxygen is a necessity for fire.

But - maybe - the lack of plants is, what makes the atmosphere of Mars 
so filled with CO2. And lack of plants means lack of wood, which cannot 
burn, without someone to ignite it.

So CO2 is not reason for Marsian warming, but lack of plants is reason 
for lack of cooling.

Earth would - most likely - have started with an atmosphere of CO2 
(mainly). But the water we have on Earth has developed life and that O2, 
by photosynthesis from CO2.

Now the plants have absorbed most of the CO2 and so we need to burn 
wood. Otherwise the plants would starve.
