As appealing as "immortal cancer cells" sounds, I doubt you'd ever benefit from the research, Michael Moroney. Oxygen shortens your life. Quoting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free-radical_theory_of_aging The free radical theory of aging ( FRTA ) states that organisms age because cells accumulate free radical damage over time. [....] free radicals are highly reactive. For most biological structures, free radical damage is closely associated with oxidative damage. [....] mitochondrial oxygen radical generation is lower in long-lived birds than in short-lived mammals of comparable body size and metabolic rate. "Life Extension" comes at a price; to wit: Eat very little, your whole life, staying short and skinny. There are no fat, tall 100 year olds. Eat vegan ( like "LukeIsNotSexy" ). Be mild and effeminate, MetroSexual. Cut off your balls. " You can live to be a hundred if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred. " -- Woody Allen. Woody Allen knows, do you ?
