Ken Seto is a prime example of an ignoramus in that department. Note it's only one's ignorance that allows this sort of aberration in thinking to blossom. If he had any knowledge of anything ELSE in physics, he'd know IMMEDIATELY that his approach cannot work as it's contradicted by LOTS and LOTS of other things. But the problem is he cannot understand those OTHER THINGS, he only "understands" some elementary aspects of special relativity (and even those he understands incorrectly). This is a well-known psychological phenomenon by now: an ignorant person lacks the tools to actually see plainly that he is ignorant: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect -- Jan

The truth is simply that Einstein's very INTENT was to REPRODUCE the Lorentz transform (already widely known at the time) by means of a certain DIFFERENT and MINIMAL set of assumptions. That was one of the GOALS of his 1905 paper. So from the start the Lorentz transform was presumed known, it was not any "copying" anything. Why should he even know anything about the writes of Lorentz. It was not required during his activities. There are no connections whatsoever. Try again.

Historian’s fallacy. Einstein provably was an admirer of Lorentz’ work, so
he knew at least portions of it.
But unless Einstein has said so (and to my knowledge he has not), we can
only speculate about his motives. Evidently (as one can read in [1]),
Einstein’s driving force for what he later called “special relativity” was
to reconcile Maxwellian electrodynamics, which implied that the speed of
light would be independent of relative motion, only dependent on the
electromagnetic properties of the medium –
c = 1∕√(ε₀ ε_r µ₀ µ_r)
– with the Galilean/Newtonian principle of relativity that states that the
laws of physics are the same in every inertial frame of reference. After
Einstein learned of experiments that attempted to determine a luminiferous
aether, but failed to do so, he did not accept the explanation that
properties of a proposed, not only undetected, but *undetectable* medium
that should reconcile both. Instead, he assumed (as he says there) that
the principle of relativity applied to both mechanics and electrodynamics,
and that *therefore* there was no way, not even electromagnetically, to
determine motion absolutely.

If *Lorentz’* transformation equations were known to Einstein, then at the
time he (Einstein) could have known it only as an incomplete ad-hoc
hypothesis to explain the Michelson–Morley experiment (which Lorentz had
admitted himself).
However, it is not even certain that he (Einstein) knew/understood Lorentz’
transformation equations as originally published. Because they were
originally published in 1904 in English [2], and Einstein was particularly
bad at foreign languages (among other things, he had never had formal
education in English. and barely passed for US American citizenship in 1940
because of that). Lorentz received (the second ever) Nobel Prize in Physics
1902 (together with Pieter Zeeman) for the explanation of the Zeeman effect
using Lorentz’ electrodynamics (where he proposed the electron).
If Einstein knew about Lorentz’ work in that regard, then probably only in
summary from the German scientific journal „Annalen der Physik“.

This is not a "speculation", it's the very content of the paper, the intent
is described by Einstein very clearly: to endow the transformed E and B
fields (both the transformations and the resulting E and B changes had been
known but considered _unphysical_) with a _physical meaning_, this is precisely
his method of resolving the magnet-and-coil conundrum he mentions in the
summary of the paper.
He says so explicitly in the second part of the paper ("electrodynamical
part") when he lists the "old way" and the "new way" of describing the
above conundrum. The "new way" is based on treating the transformed
E and B as _real_. Of course it wouldn't be enough just to _say_ that,
so in the first part of the paper he offers a "plausible" DERIVATION
of the RESULTS KNOWN ALREADY (i.e. the Lorentz transformation which,
incidentally, included in it a "plausible" justification for NOT having
an extra multiplicative constant in transformed Maxwell's equations, which
is something that Lorentz did not do (see Lorentz's paper in the Dover
collection, he keeps that constant)).
This "plausibility" was based on a very minimal set of assumptions which
was a novel way of going about this. But the intent of the paper is to
justify the use of transformed E and B which can only be done by justifying
the _physicality_ of the Lorentz transform which, in turn, had to be done
by basing it on some simple but deep principle. That's what the paper
IS ABOUT.

Yes, of course. That's the point. I think you may have misunderstood my
intent slightly. Obviously Einstein knew about the Lorentz transformation,
this was standard expert knowledge for electrodynamics at the time.

Then please explain Maxwell Equations, in your words, each of them in turn. Einstein couldn't explain them either, that's the sad truth.

It is like correcting, or SUPPORTING, relativity without understanding it. Better luck next time, you really need it.

Observer Created Reality is not a science. It is just a philosophy known as the Copenhagen... Jan. Things can have their own motions.. Jan? why does beginning of motion create the opposite appearance of motion around it relative? You can move yourself and the opposite appearance of motion happens around you as the relative.
