In a civilized industrial country, that kind of diplomas substitutes toilet paper. In shutdown areas, to remark. You are not going to expect a job at the Large Hadron Collider, do you? If you are interested in my blog ( no one is ) best to google with quotes:
“length contraction blogspot”
My original version at 120 pages was much too long, partly because I dealt with all that Lorentz-Michelson stuff. Now, at 18 pages it is still too long. My first version dealt with your reference to E-1905 Section 1 entitled:
“§1. Definition of simultaneity”.
Yes, that is the title of Section 1. No, Section 1 is not a definition of simultaneity. Simultaneity is not defined, hardly even mentioned as such. Rather, the term is “at a definite time.”
Section 1 defines synchrony. Synchronous time on a mirror clock is given “by definition”. My blog goes into this in some detail.
As you put it: [[ I cannot fathom why you think that synchronous clocks at rest would in some way give wrong results.]]
If signal speed from P to Q, i.e., P - x - Q is c, and returning from Q - x - P signal speed is also c, total time is:
t = ( 2 · x ) / c
( Conveniently here starting gun time at P is t = 0, which is not the case in Section 1. )
Synchronous time at Q is defined ( more or less ) as one half of that:
t = ½ · ( 2 · x ) / c = x / c
If the P-Q frame of reference is in relative motion, you may construe oneway speeds to be c – v and c + v. Total time is then:
t = {( 2 · x ) / c} · g²
Synchronous time at turn around point Q is one half of that:
t = ½ · {( 2 · x ) / c} · g² = ( x / c ) · g²
Thus if you incorrectly say speeds are c each way, you write synchronous time as t = x / c when in fact you need t = ( x / c ) · g². You are wrong to the second order in v / c.
Oneway synchrony involves a judgment of t = x / c versus t = x / ( c – v ) which boils down to a mistake in the first order of v / c, a much greater error.

I don’t think I said “at rest”. The Paris_London clocks of Sir JJ are not at rest. They are moving with the earth, which moves through the aether at speed v.

I am not interested in your blog either, given the nonsense that you waste
my precious free time with here.

As I said, you are unable to read comprehensively, and then you are arguing
from a position of ignorance. Hopeless.
> Rather, the term is “at a definite time.”
This phrase does not occur in the official translation of the paper. The
only place in it where the words “definite” and “time” are juxtaposed, is in §3:
| […]
| If we put x' = x- vt, then it is clear that a point at rest in the system
| k has a definite, time-independent system of values x', y, z belonging to
^^^^^^^^ ^^^^
| it. […]
which means something completely different.
> Section 1 defines synchrony.
As clocks are the instruments that measure time, clocks provide a means to
determine simultaneity. Spatially separated events are simultaneous if
spatially separated synchronized clocks show the same time when the events
happen, subtracting light-travel time.
> As you put it: [[ I cannot fathom why you think that synchronous clocks
> at rest would in some way give wrong results.]]
<https://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html>
> I don’t think I said “at rest”.
But Einstein did, knowing from Galilei that “at rest” is relative: one
*defines* something to be at rest in order to determine the *relative*
motion of something else. Usually, the observer of a motion defines
themselves to be at rest.
And therein lies the key: Every observer can define themselves to be at
rest. If I say that I am at rest and your distance to me changes uniformly
with time, then I have to determine you to be in motion. But you can
equally say that you are at rest and as my distance to you changes with time
in the same way, you would determine that I am in motion. We are both
right, and there is no way to show that one of us is wrong in this regard.
Still, in a frame of reference that is defined to be at rest the speed of
light has been experimentally determined to be isotropic. But if every
frame can be defined as the rest frame, then the speed of light has to be
the same in every frame of reference.
This leads to all the observed relativistic phenomena.
> The Paris_London clocks of Sir JJ are not at rest.
They are at rest on the surface of Terra.
> They are moving with the earth,
(Mostly) irrelevant.
> which moves through the aether at speed v.
As Einstein wrote in the paper that you do not understand: There is no
experimental evidence that there is an aether, and an aether is not
necessary to explain the observations.
> Thus if you incorrectly say speeds are c each way,
This is not incorrect, but has been experimentally confirmed a gazillion
times. You simply have no clue.
> [word salad]
Hopeless.

As a valid length contraction equation, meter sticks on the right and left hand sides must be identical, i.e., unprimed and primed meter sticks must be identical. But meter sticks of the LT’s are taken from frames K and K′, and are mismatched. Then variables x and x′ cannot be used for length comparison. Lorentz has a rigid body composed of “ions”. The size ( length ) of the longitudinal arm of the MMX is then a count of ions. Stationary, that is x, i.e., x spherical ions. Forced through the “aether” these spherical ions are compressed into ellipsoids. How long then is the moving arm of the MMX? Its ion count has not changed: x′= x But each ion is longitudinally smaller (an ellipsoid ), so overall length is ( x′ is judged by the stationary meter stick ): x′= 1/g · x Einstein’s Appendix 1 of 1920 has “unit measuring-rods” related approximately as follows, where a unit distance on the left is understood in terms of the unit distance on the right: Δx′= 1/g · 1 The primed ( moving ) unit measuring-rod is the shorter than the stationary unit-rod. Here’s the thing: If you put Lorentz’s ion objects side-by-side, you find the primed ( moving ) MMX arm is less extensive than the stationary arm, due to aether compression of ions. In other words, x and x′ are not at the same place. Einstein’s unit measuring-rods do not work that way. Write the classical Lorentz Transform: x′= g · ( x – v · t ) We now have event space. The LT’s require it. In other words, x′ ~ x are an event, that is one point in space, whereas Lorentz’s x′ ~ x are not the same location in space and hence not an event. Put t = 0. x′= g · x x′ > x At spatial event location x′ ~ x, we have x′ > x. That’s because the unit measuring-rod doing x′ is smaller than the unit measuring-rod doing x. Appendix 1 almost certainly uses this logic. Of course, x′ > x is not contraction. You have contraction if you take a “rigid body” out of frame K ( stationary ) and put it in frame K′ ( moving ). Using the measuring-rod of frame K, and from the point of view of frame K, you can describe the rigid body in frame K′ as ( per Lorentz 1895 ): x′= 1/g · x But as stated, for length comparison, x′ on the left hand side must be reported by the measuring rod of frame K, whereas Lorentz Transformation requires ( on the left hand side ) the unit-rod of frame K′. Einstein never writes a length contraction equation. In E-1905 Section 4 he has a “rigid sphere”. It is observed in motion. The stationary guy finds that the longitudinal axis has shrunk up and he observes an ellipsoid, which fact Einstein expresses by verbalizing a ratio: 1 : ( 1 / g ) Both sides are perceived by the stationary guy and mixed variables x and x′ are avoided. Of course, frames K and K′ are three dimensional: X,Y,Z and X′,Y′,Z′. Meter sticks of X,Y,Z are all alike and frame K is isotropic. The meter stick X′ is shorter than its counterparts on Y′ and Z′, also shorter than the meter stick in frame K. Thus frame K′ is anisotropic. Einstein does not use the term. The literature of SRT ( spezielle Relativitätstheorie ) hardly ever mentions an anisotropic frame. In 1911, Vladimir Varićak undertook wild gyrations, parkoured his person, did the Fosbury Flip and danced thé dansant.

Complete and utter nonsense!
A rod DEFINES an absolute and invariant spatial interval. Neither the rod nor that interval is affected in any way by a
speed change.
The speed of light has nothing at all to do with this.

I will not accuse you for a lie, it must be just ignorance. Current energetics relies much on solar energy, that is based on his work on photoelectric effect and the concept of photon. Even applied quantum physics and chemistry relies a lot on his work in their foundations. I bet results of your own work is used much less than his, so according to your idea, you should be hated much more... ;-) -- Libor Striz aka Poutnik ( a pilgrim/wanderer/wayfarer) "Humour is the only effective weapon against stupidity." Preserving doing mistakes in physics, will not make you look better. Whatever "effect" would be involved, that's just a set of Laws of Nature used in Math Modelling of multi-Physics (several interfaces). You are obsessed with "effects", which strongly indicates inexperience and going fishing.

If that was "trolling", you went fishing indeed. "effect", "concept" you are just fishing in prohibited areas. Which is deeply illegal, undemocratic and against human rights.
