Also game programmers use them to shuffle their monsters around. But bi-quaternions are very unusual constructs. (I have not heard of them too much.) Initially I had tried to use a quaternion formula for rotation: v' = q * v * q^-1 I wanted to show, that the bra-ket construct of QM has similar features. From spacetime of GR it is easy to come to quaternions, so that would enable a connection. But complex numbers are also interesting. E.g. a Minkowski diagram looks quite similar to an Argand diagram. Then I found the papers of Jonathan Scott about complex four vectors and therefore changed from quaternions to bi-quaternions. TH
