Actually I don't know many physicists. So they would not talk to me and I'm not obliged to listen. Instead I read a lot and have actually developed my own 'private' model: https://docs.google.com/present/view?id=dd8jz2tx_3gfzvqgd6 It is a concept based on late 19th century ideas, like the initially quaternion formulas of Maxwell. I tried to prove, that the so called standard model of Qm is wrong by proving, that 'Growing Earth' is true. Since if 'Growing Earth' is true, this would violate a central assumption of the standard model: the so called particle concept. What I actually try to prove is this: nature is an undivided system, where certain aspects exist, we call particles. Those particles are states of an invisible background and could be created quite easily and in realtime (actually in a relatively simple lab). >> I asked the question (about LIGO), how gravity of remote galaxies >> (or waves within) could be measured on Earth. > > For one thing there are many potential sources of gravitational > waves within our own galaxy. The effect of any gravitational waves > on Earth is incredibly small, which is why LIGO is designed to > measure strains on the order of one part in 10^21 or 10^23. But the Earth is not particularly static and any movement of plates or materiel within the planet would also create 'noise'. The Earth is also gravitationally connected to other bodies like Sun and Moon. And this connection could be subject to influences of other objects. > >> But we have also 'noise'. And among the sources of such 'noise' is >> (in my opinion) the reason, why Earth would grow - and growth itself. > > Your opinion is totally uninformed and not based on viable physics. > The sources of noise in LIGO have been pretty well identified to > within the sensitivity of the experiment. Since you do not have any > quantitative predictions of your fantasy pseudoscience, it's a > waste of time to speculate on what the effects of that might be. > I actually assume, that LIGO measures something. The question was not: does LIGO measure something? but: WHAT does LIGO measure? The alleged sources of such waves are remote galaxies and I objected, those are too far away. Other possible sources are 'mergers of black holes'. Well, if we have such black holes in our vicinity, they could possibly merge. But I dislike the term 'black hole' in the first place and had provided an alternative explanation for that phenomenon. So I do not see compelling reason, why such an event should occur. TH
