Your advice re the white list seems to have done the trick and each of 
the two emails from Ivan slipped into the 'Incoming Mail'. I guess the 
easijet one would do as well, if I added its address to the white 
list.

And no, I don't have any other non-Mpro/Hermes filter facility.

So, effectively that's another email problem solved. Thank-you.

But what I still don't understand is why, since November 2011, this 
problem has just popped-up. I can accept that the gibberish preceding 
his <>enclosed email address (which I assume is the cause of the 
problem) is some sort of coding, but why aren't all email addresses 
blessed the same?
