That's because visibility of 2nd thread's store with respect to 1st
thread can be delayed until after 3rd thread's store is made visible
with respect 1st thread and 1st thread can load 'stale' value of x into
r1 (due to lack of remote write atomicity). Itanium's st.rel aside, on
PowerPC, the most heavy fence (hwsync) would prevent that outcome
(hwsync in 1st thread precludes it from observing 'stale' value of x)
but Itanium's mf is not that strong.
