I will just say that I save often and when killed I quit and then on
restarting the game it will simply start again from the last saved file.
On the Amiga I had a machine that was slow enough I could
cheat but on the XP I did copy save files. In any case it is no great
advantage as I am rotten on everything but Klondike and KMahjongg. I
used to be a shark at Monopoly and dangerous at single deck Blackjack
but even turn by turn games throw me for a loop.

I got addicted to dungeon crawling on CPM running on my
old C=128.
Note the Subject line? I am not bluffing about my
lack of skill with games. But still I love Angband because it is like
going shopping at bargain basement. Sharpest elbows(?) get the best
clothes.
This is Angband 3.5.1 and it is different in that the stores
in town no longer buy your excess equipment. Maybe staves or wands
in the Magic Shop, Other shops will accept equipment for id but
not oat for it. The Dwarven race can spot lodes of metal or jewels
a few tiles into the wall so it does not take long until you are
rolling in cash.
