	Well that is hard.  But is it Grub or GRUB2?

	Too bad.  I never want to spend my time but I do not want
to use Windows very much.  I keep it on my machine against extreme
need such as helping someone who must use it.

	GRUB2 is the current choice for dealing with Windows 8
and higher systems.  It is just about smart enough.

	No dummy partitions, each has a purpose. Windows Boot Manger in
one, efi in the other.  When booting a Linux system with Secure Boot
turned off efi is mounted as /boot/efi.  I took my current Windows
partion from 700 GiB to <60 GiB and made a data partition in case
I need to share or actually create something on Windows of <100 GiB.

	GPartEd is the best option for setting up Linux partitions before 
installation After the Windows partition is reduced by its own
tools.  If you Google or whatever on "Reducing Windows Partition"
you should find a method for reduction of the page file size

	On Mageia 5 RC and even on Mageia 4.1 I had no problems
and currently access Windows 8.1 by NOT hitting escape at boot up.
then waiting until the menu shows up and choosing the Mageia option
on the hard disk then picking a version of Mageia or whatever system
you are using.  Not all systems are ready for UEFI but if you
scan the .iso file you should see an efi partition,  Some like
Fedora have shims that let you continue to use Secure Boot.
	Of course that is extra protection if whoever is there without
your permission may be un-knowledgeable and not know how to turn it
off.  So put a password on your (U)EFI BIOS access whatever you
do.

	Well I don't know loadlin but I used to use LiLo and I hear
there is an e-Lilo in the works but GRUB2 is the current choice.
