I'm pretty sure it falls under the same copyright gotcha as the original
_Night of the Living Dead_ (also available at archive.org). Quoting from
wikipedia to explain the issue:
Night of the Living Dead entered the public domain in the United
States because the original theatrical distributor, the Walter Reade
Organization, neglected to place a copyright indication on the
prints. In 1968, United States copyright law required a proper
notice for a work to maintain a copyright. Image Ten displayed such
a notice on the title frames of the film beneath the original title,
_Night of the Flesh Eaters_. The distributor erroneously
removed the statement when it changed the title.
I think there are some 300 - 350 movies at IA, most much older, but a
smattering of 1960s works. _Shame_ was a US re-release title of _The
Intruder_, and I'm guessing the copyright notice was left out in the
renaming. Corman frequently release slightly different edits under
different titles until a movie became successful. This one is famously
the only movie of Corman's that he claims didn't turn a profit.

the race message might have been too raw in the early 1960s
