Apart from the issue of mutability (which does not arise in Java int or
Integer), I sometimes use Integer when I want to have a special value
for "not set", namely "null". With int, it is necessary to reserve some
arbitrary value for that purpose (like -1 when the range is positive, or
perhaps Integer.MIN_VALUE otherwise). And one needs to publish a
constant for that value if other code needs to check whether the value
is present, making it well nigh impossible to change the implementation
later.

What do you think? Is simply wanting to have a "null" value a valid
reason for using Integer instead of int?
