In the case of floats and integers, the short answer is you don't.  If you arranged
the order of arguments appropriately you shouldn't need to.  Forth has used
combined stack for decades.  ANS functions which cater for floats and integers
on the data stack, specify the order in which they should appear (typically float
first, integer on top).   LMI - claimed to be Forth's second largest vendor - used
floats on the data stack exclusively.  No float/integer juggling operators were
employed or needed.
